Golden hour winter Elopement in Joshua Tree National Park
When Kassadie and Daniel asked me to photograph their Joshua tree elopement, I couldn’t wait! Although I am a frequent Joshua tree wedding photographer, I will forever love shooting there because of the diverse location options. From the Joshua Trees to the Jumbo rocks, the California desert will always keep me inspired. On the day of their elopement I met them at a cute airbnb by the national park entrance. Daniel wrote his vows in the front room while Kassadie did her makeup in the bedroom. They had music playing on a record player in the background. I loved how relaxed the setting was! They took their time getting ready and just had no stress. We headed to the park for their first look. Daniel’s reaction to seeing his perfect bride had us all teary eyed. When he turned around he immediately dropped to his knees. He couldn’t believe how stunning she looked! He was in awe, it was the cutest first look reaction I’ve ever seen. We then headed to Jumbo Rocks where they had a little intimate wedding ceremony with just the two of them and Kassadie’s sister present. They read their heartfelt vows as the sun set behind the big rocks. It was magical! They then popped a bottle of champagne to celebrate being MARRIED!! To end the most perfect Joshua Tree elopement, we shot some pretty bridals as the sun went down. I’ll never forget how special this day was. To be one of the only witnesses to an incredible love story that day is an incredible honor. These two are some of the sweetest people I have ever met/worked with. I wish these two so much happiness. Love these two! Congrats to the newlyweds!
